The State of Estate Living

It’s not surprising that, given our high crime rate, people are choosing to live in gated estates. The adage “safety in numbers” definitely applies here and with upmarket estates offering a wealth of security services, it’s understandable that so many of our “rich and famous” – and as well as safety conscious – choose this lifestyle over the more traditional freestanding home.

Developers have clambered onto the estate construction bandwagon and there are now options situated throughout SA. When estates first started popping up, most were on golf courses. However, things have changed somewhat and although many of the country’s most exclusive estates are still situated alongside fairways, a growing number of developments, featuring a variety of amenities, has popped up. Eco-estates, for example, offer residents a more natural lifestyle; while “older folk” can choose to live in estates aimed at over-50s.

Say it again: location!

Location is everything! And so, most of South Africa’s top-end estates are situated in beautiful areas. But the privilege of living in a community that boasts unbeatable views, gorgeous homes, high-tech security, and other luxurious amenities doesn’t necessarily come cheap. However, when one looks at a property currently for sale in Izinga.

Each home is exquisitely designed and finished authentically with marble or solid wood in the living spaces and bedrooms, whilst travertine is used in all the bathrooms. Each home also boasts its own pool and staff quarters.

Very safe and secure with double the security being with an estate. The most modern Home Automation is used to control the lighting, temperature, audio and video, etc. to create the ultimate in luxury living.

These are certainly homes to get into a state over. But, if your budget is a little less stately, there are plenty of other beautiful – and secure – options listed on Prime Property!!!
