Mount Edgecombe
Mount Edgecombe is a sugar-growing town in KwaZulu Natal, South Africa, situated just north of Durban, which forms part of eThekwini, the Greater Durban Metropolitan. It is famous for resorts and golf.
Situated 3 kms from Umhlanga, 15 kms from Durban and 35 kms from Durban International Airport in KwaZulu Natal, your next golfing challenge is closer than you think.
Tucked away in the rolling hills of KwaZulu Natal, just inland of Umhlanga, Mount Edgecombe Country Club provides world class conference centres, exotic restaurants, expert golf tuition, practise facilities, tennis, squash and bowling clubs.
Mount Edgecombe Country Club consists of two championship courses - Mount Edgecombe One and Mount Edgecombe Two. Both these courses have their own clubhouses. Mount Edgecombe’s Course One, formerly the Hullets Country Club, was redesigned by Hugh Baiocchi and incorporates a residential estate in an ecologically maintained environment. This is one of the few courses in South Africa designed to USGA specifications.
Mount Edgecombe Two's Club House overlooks the Pani Dam where, if you’re lucky, you might catch a glimpse of the resident fish eagles. The Course is very undulating and different from the No 1 course, with indigenous bush in places, although it also has its share of imposing water hazards.
